Rooted in the rolling hills of Taylorsville, North Carolina, The Farmers' Daughter is a sixth-generation family farm dedicated to growing fresh, delicious produce and creating meaningful connections with our community.

Come to our Country Store and take a step back in time. From our farm fresh produce and locally raised meats, to hand-dipped ice cream and deli sandwiches., we’ve packed our shelves with the best of what our farm—and our region—has to offer. You’ll also find local dairy products, old-fashioned dry goods, and locally made products. Our antique decor will take you back in time, while you shop or just enjoy one of our deli sammiches or an ice cream cone. Don’t forget to grab a glass bottle of soda while you are here!
Produce (Best Seller!)
We grow for taste; not shelf life, from our greenhouses, to high tunnels, to fields. We extend our season for our community and surrounding counties! The best sellers that we raise are strawberries (mid-April thru first of June) and “homegrown” tomatoes(mid-April thru end of October). Plus we grow a variety of seasonal vegetables mid-April through November for our Community Supported Agriculture Program and to supply our Country Store. Whether you're grabbing something for dinner or stocking up for canning/freezing, you'll taste the difference in every bite.
Partner Goods
Our shelves are filled with more than just what we grow—we proudly partner with over 20 local gardeners, farmers, and food producers to bring you the best of our community. From pasture-raised beef, chicken, and pork to locally grown vegetables, jams, baked goods, cheeses, and handcrafted gifts, every item supports a neighbor and strengthens our local food system.
Deli & Ice Cream
Enjoy a hand-dipped cone or cup or hand-spun milkshake with Hershey’s Ice Cream. We have 12 flavors to tickle your taste buds. Our BEST SELLING flavors are: Black Cherry, Chocolate, Salty Caramel, Vanilla, Strawberry, Peach, Cotton Candy, Butter Pecan, and Orange Sherbert (dairy-free) and we rotate out monthly favorites in the other slots.
Hungry for more? Our deli can whip up hot subs, fresh sandwiches, and crisp salads—all made to order and perfect for a farm-fresh lunch inside our store, in our new outdoor seating area, picnic tables out back by the playground or you can take it to-go.
