Pick-your-own Strawberries

We invite the public to enjoy our beautiful 88-acre farm, on which we are raising Our family’s 8th generation.  We host school groups in the spring at our Pick-Your-Own (PYO) strawberry patch.  Classes can pick their own pint of strawberries and  learn about how we grow our produce, photosynthesis, and pollination. Please call Amy at (828) 312-8137 or e-mail for group rates and scheduling.  Group field trips are only scheduled on Monday-Wednesday in the spring. The pick-your-own patch is open daily to our customers.

Fall Pumpkin Rides

Beginning in October, we invite visitors out to the farm for our tractor-pulled pumpkin rides on Saturdays, from 11am-4pm.  We also host school groups Monday through Friday for the same tractor-pulled pumpkin rides that we do on Saturdays, plus educational tidbits on how we grow veggies, photosynthesis, and pollination.  The tractor-pulled pumpkin rides last approximately 30-45 minutes and each rider gets a miniature pie pumpkin to take home.  The riders get to enjoy the beautiful fall scenery on and surrounding our family farm, located at the foot of Barrets Mountain.  Please call Amy at (828) 312-8137 or e-mail for group rates and scheduling.

Last year, we started something new for our October agritourism, Night Hay Rides.  We will only be doing our night hay rides one weekend in October.   This year, we will be having night-time, tractor-pulled hay rides on Friday and Saturday, October 19th and 20th ONLY, from 7:00-9:00pm.  The rides will depart every 30-minutes or as needed, depending upon demand.  Riders will enjoy a nearly full moon to light up the night.  We will wind our way through our 104-acre family farm, on which we are raising our family’s 8th generation.  We’ll follow our traditional pumpkin ride trail, approximately 20-30 minute ride, and end the night with a bonfire! This will be a great trip for all ages!  We want to cater to families and teens or young adults looking for healthy entertainment.  So, bring a blanket and a hoodie and join us on the farm for some fun!  The cost of our night hay ride is $5.00 per person for everyone ages 1 year and older.  Lap babies, younger than 1 year, are FREE.  Bring your lawn chairs, and/or hot dogs or marshmallows, so you can roast them or just hanging out!
